2016 – Present
I’ve had the pleasure of working with many individuals and companies who reached out to me to create pixel art for them. Here are some of my favorite pieces to date. If you would like to request a commission, contact me!
Melons, à la “A Link to the Past” (2019)
Based on the title screen for the Super Nintendo classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. This was a commission for a friend’s project which was inspired by this post on the r/OddlySatisfying subreddit. Done entirely in Aseprite.
Pittsburgh Dad NES Box for Steel City Brand (2019)
After discovering my pixel art and retro throwback designs on Dribbble, Pittsburgh-based design company Steel City Brand reached out to me for a design based on a character portrayed by one of their clients. It was too fun to pass up. Look for ROAD RAGE merch soon at shopsteelcity.com! Pixel art created in Aseprite, box created in Adobe Illustrator.
Hawaii Business Magazine (2019)
A representative from the Hawaii Business Magazine requested an illustration that looked like an 8-bit, NES Mario game. Through several rounds of email and iteration, the client and I were able to bring their initial vision to life. The illustration was published in the February 2019 edition of the magazine, and online version of the article and illustration can be viewed using this link.
Pixel Portraits (2017–Present)
A series of portraits completed by request and sometimes for fun. Commission one today!
Good Help Banner Image (2019)
The client discovered me via a public commission I completed, and requested a pixel illustration for her marketing website. It took several rounds of communication and iteration to achieve the look and feel that the client desired.
Christmas Commission (2018)
The client discovered me via my Wallace.dog animations and commissioned a piece in that style as a Christmas gift.
Blob (2017)
The client discovered my work through a mutual friend. His request was for sprites / sprite sheets for his practice game project.
Blipsounds (2017)
The client discovered my work via Instagram when I was doing Pixel_Dailies every day. His request was for avatars for his chiptune sound effects website.
Marcel (aka BasicallyIDoWrk, 2016)
Marcel (aka BasicallyIDoWrk) is a prolific comedy gaming video creator and was among my first commission requests. He first reached out to me for a YouTube thumbnail, and again a few months later for a pixel version of one of his character portraits.
